"GIFT" Coming To DVD Later This Year

Post by Mike »

From Perry via twitter:
I never thought Lucifer and I would become chums. We have plans to release the dvd of Gift. It is assembled, and will come out this year.
I was told in January of 2008 that Perry had recorded a director's commentary for it.

I wonder if we'll get any additional bonus material?

Yes it should be!

I've tried to get some info on this but haven't heard anything yet.

I would love to see them release this as a expanded edition.
Perhaps a DVD / CD two pack?
The CD could be a Soundtrack and include all the songs in the movie and more from the shows that the live footage in the movie is taken from.

Even better would be a second DVD of the full concert that the live footage in the movie is taken from.

I say that because I don't think they can change the movie to add more concert footage.

GIFT - DVD/Blu Ray

Post by dentists »

Does anyone know when this is coming out or rumoured to be coming out and the speacial features?
I remember hearing that it will be released in 2010.
This will be my final JA buy...besides 'live voodoo' - did manage to see the reunited JA before Eric decided to go back on unemployment & food stamps.

OMFG!!! Best news I've had all year.
“With a bracing combination of metal, punk, and psychedelica, coupled with lead singer Perry Farrell's banshee-in-a-wind tunnel vocals”...

I had the opposite reaction when I read dentists post.
It rated one of these from me.

Let's face it, Eric is doing what he wants and is happy.
Besides I can't imagine him heading for the poor house anytime soon.

You may want to exercise some restraint Sojourner.
If you look at the date of my first post in this thread you'll see it's February 4th.
Since then there hasn't been any word what-so-ever about this DVD.
There have been rumors in the past that it was coming out and nothing came of them.
I guess what I'm trying to say is when I see it available either on-line or at the store that's when I'll get excited.

Oh right :( Thought it was too good to be true. I just had a speed read of 'dentists' and naturally thought it was on the way. That will fucking teach me won't it.
