Brendan Hawkins
Music Producer, Composer, Sound Artist, Engineer, Humanitarian, Visionary

Brendan Hawkins, a Los Angeles native, son of an electronics and technology professor, has always had the keen ability to blend his love for music and his vast understanding of technology.
He began to develop his sound, which could best be described as big and layered powerful melodic sonic landscapes.
In the mid 90’s, Brendan moved to San Francisco to get involved with the electronic music scene emerging there. He also began working with Craig Newmark (creator of Craigslist) and helped the online database for tech jobs, as well as earning a living doing graphic Design for Cisco Systems, Apple computers and corporate identity for BeBe,.
His sound caught the ear of visionary singer, artist, and event producer Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction, Pornos for Pyros,, Lollapalooza). Farrell hired Brendan to help him craft the sound of his solo records “Rev” and “Song Yet To Be Sung”, as well as the creation of his Enit Festival. Brendan relocated back to Los Angeles and helped write both albums, toured with Farrell both as a solo act and with Jane’s and Pyros, helped create the Jubilee Festival and assisted countless other humanitarian efforts like freeing slaves in Sudan, the Jubilee2000 Project Drop The Debt, the One Project to end poverty, Heal the Bay, Surfrider Foundation, Free Tibet, and many more.
Working with Farrell gave Brendan the opportunity collaborate with amazing artists and producers like Marius De Vries (Madonna, Bjork), Nellie Hooper (Bjork), Bono (U2), Flea and John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Mad Professor, Lonnie Jordan (War), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave), Jon Brion (Fiona Apple), Ray Manzarek (The Doors), The Neptunes, and the list goes on and on.

Brendan was instrumental in bringing Jane’s Addiction back together for the album “Strays”, and worked with legendary producer Bob Ezron (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper) to record and video document the band’s reunion album and subsequent tours.
Brendan has worked tirelessly to not only hone his sound and skills, but to find new and unique ways to help the world become a better place in the process. His adventures with music and humanitarianism have brought him around the world, not only as a performer and producer, but as an emissary of peace ,justice and harmony, and he always looks for ways to bring music love and awareness to as wide an audience as possible.

One thing is certain. Brendan Hawkins is a creative powerhouse. Never resting until a project can fully realize it’s potential, his unique ability to combine technology with humanity and music will continue to grow and flourish, and the world is a better place because of it.
