Yup I thought so.helicine wrote:nice
What's really cool is it's so early in '86 that it predates the first Scream show.
That's a big deal because I've read and been told that they only played a "handful" of shows prior to that first Scream show on June 27th.
The thing is that "handful" just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Re: 1986.05.29 Music Machine, Los Angeles, CA
So this flyer came in the mail when I was out in L.A. last week.
I'm working on a scan upgrade for the site as I type but my scanner keeps cutting off the bottom.
That's not the reason for my post although I'll share the scan upgrade once I'm happy with it.
I thought the image on the flyer looked familiar but I was so excited by the new date factor I forgot about it.
Well now that I'm scanning it and checking it out I figured out why the image is so familiar to me.
It turns out it's a woodcut called 'The Fall of Man" by one of my favorite artists, M.C. Escher.
You can see it and a bunch of his other works on the official M.C. Escher site:
http://www.mcescher.com/
It's in the picture gallery "Italian period 1922 - 1935".
I'll try and convince this scanner to cooperate and post an upgrade ASAP.

i had my eye on that one. nice to see it went into good hands. if you look in the bottom right corner says, '$5.00 with flyer', which seems to be the only area creeses to this flyer.

Thanks drifter I was hoping it wouldn't go for more than I could afford.drifter wrote:i had my eye on that one. nice to see it went into good hands. if you look in the bottom right corner says, '$5.00 with flyer', which seems to be the only area creeses to this flyer.
I suppose I could help that cause if I'd wait until the auction closed to post about it.
Anyway it is in really nice shape for as old as it is and the seller did a great job shipping it.
You're wrong about the price to get in though as the band weren't making the big bucks at this point.
I know it's hard to read but attendees of this show that brought along the flyer got in for a whopping $2.00.
I'm still working on a scan upgrade for the site.
The flyer has been on the scanner bed for about a week now and I found my manual for the scanner.
Fingers crossed I can figure out how to take it out of auto mode and make it scan the full image in manual mode.
