I went all the way through March of 1989 in this paper's archive and found no further mention of this show.
For what it's worth we have proof positive that Jane's were actually playing a show in Michigan on this date.

My guess and it's only a guess at this point is this show was canceled or the venue was changed to the Lone Star in Kansas City.
