Jane's Addiction Jams Out at Canyon Charter School

The "Jammin' in the Canyon" outdoor concert for the school's booster club saw more than 1,000 attendees.
By Matthew Sanderson Email the authorOctober 18, 2012

Those who attended this year's Jammin' in the Canyon at Canyon Charter Elementary School received a real treat last weekend when Jane's Addiction took the stage and played a one-hour set.

Principal Joyce Dara said they had more than 1,000 people attend the outdoor concert held frequently by the school's booster club. The event also had hair-braiding, facepainting, food trucks and other activites. All the proceeds raised go toward the booster club's budget.

"They can provide so many resources to what's been cut," she said, noting recent computer lab and laptop purchases aided by the booster club.
