Listening the song DJ Garthdid with Perry on vocals ("Seeds"),i've started listening Song Yet To Be Sung again a lot these days.
My opinion is Perry had beatiful melodies and ideas in that album, but it was produced with too much computer and programming, without live instruments, and the D'n'B/techno bases are too cold.
Also, the whole album is too heterogenic and the genres are not blended so well between them.
I think Perry for these reasons has decided for Satellite Party to bring more organic sounds and more unity to the project writing the songs with Nuno.......
just my ideas...

I pulled out my copy before the Rock Hall thing last month.
I wanted to have Perry sign it for me. He did!
What I'm trying to get at is I haven't put it away yet.
As subculture said Perry's vox on this are superb.
And the vibe is so happy.
I can't help but feel good when I listen to it.
StickyFingers I think the instruments used are done so beautifully.
Layers of goodies here to be had each listen.

I like SYTBS even better than Jane's... After doing an interview w/ PF and writting an article for a local paper in Sac, CA about Lolla 05, I did a little more research on PF... what an amazing person. If all people just put in 1% of the effort that he does the world would be a completely different and better place.
