The Best of Lolla

Post by pete »

what do you think was the most important part of Lolla this year? What had the most meaning and touched people straight to the heart :?:
Porno For Pyros is like a fine wine, we will be better with age.

watch the video...

mature.

I hope Lance hurt the little girl and her boyfriend.

I am sad that I missed this years Lolla...I had a 4 year old's karate party to attend, and lil guy would have been very disappointed if I wasn't there.
It was a tough decision to make, but the right one. ;)
I am looking forward to more jams with Pete and lolla next year!!

I still don't get why anyone would want to do that to Perry.
The fact that she may some how be associated with HighTimes magazine doesn't make it any less stupid.
Perry was doing a cool thing for his fans and that bitch has to embarrass him in front of his family and friends.
I didn't know why you didn't make it but you did make the right decision everlast.
Family comes first around here too. :)

The unbelievably cool vibe that is always present at Lolla was very uplifting.
Anyone that's ever been to Lolla knows what I'm talking about.
The best I can describe it is everyone is happy and in a love thy neighbor mood.
It's contagious and you can't help leaving Lolla and taking some of it home with you.
Pete when you said to me after your set with Perry that you were bummed that some of the kids were crying because they didn't get to come up on stage with you.
That was very touching.
When Patti Smith was talking about the little ones dying during the bombing.
I don't think you can be human and not have that effect you in some way.

I'd say the highlight was the overall good vibe, not the vibe you get at some rock shows where its a bunch of jock assholes looking to slam beers with their bro's! It was more of a lets have a good time and respect everyone vibe I'd say.

I have to agree that the vibe of the crowd was a huge factor in the weekend. Everyone I met was so cool...great location too...it was nice and spread out...lots of shade if you needed it, free filling stations for water bottles! It was the complete opposite of the last festival I went to...Woodstock 99! I was so traumatized by my experience there, this was my first weekend music event since that riot/fire filled mess! I also loved that the Chicago skyline was the backdrop...it was my first time in that city and the little bit that I explored outside of Grant Park, I loved.

vikkivale and esqfool I'm glad the two of you felt it too.
That's a pretty good way of describing it esqfool.
Thanks for that! :)
