most of the vinyl records can be bought from time to time on ebay for very reasonable prices.

the only one i've ever seen only one copy of, is the purple swirl trip away double vinyl.

also, the purple and blue triple x vinyl copies are pretty rare.

few others are that hard to get. i've most of them a handful of times on ebay and if you watch long enough you'll have a good collection of vinyl.

thanks sonny! do you talk about alternative and most rare version of jane's addiction first live album? Have you got an images of these albums? are the same i found on yours page? I found some links on xiola.org but they doesn't work.

wasn't sure if I could start a new topic for this, but looks like we've got a wee bit more info on the Mephisto Demos.
what the site currently says:

The song Fighting Back is an early version of a song called Can You Feel by the band Spy Glass Blue. An updated version can be found on that band’s album Shadows. The songs Forever or Never and Holding Stare may also be from this band, or another project fronted by Spy Glass Blue lead singer Allan Aguirre.

Just got an email from Mr. Aguirre saying the following:

I can confirm that the 3 tracks "Fighting Back" (actual title is Can You Feel), "Forever or Never" and "Holding Stare" are not Jane's Addiction but actually me and my band Cygnet. These 3 songs were on a demo I submitted personally to Triple X records in 1987-88.

how would yall feel about adding more specific information on cataloge numbers on each j.a. albumn

for example heres different copies of my favorite 'smiths' albumn 'strangeways' produced all over the world

then when i go to this fan made smiths site 'passions' i can get even more detailed distribution information of this albumn

i know over time j.a. collectors could help add the catalog information when discovered

I like that idea, and I think to an extent we've done some of that, the info (when we have it) is just displayed differently.

Before deciding on the current format, I'd messed around with a lot of different variations on displaying the info after getting frustrated w/ the old format we used where each entry tended to have its own page.

One of the main things I like about our current layout for it is that it is a good balance of providing info for people who are looking for more of an overview as well as more detailed bits for collectors.

Anyway, I'm always open to suggestions for improving the discography and getting new info that we may be missing
