That's a decent interview but as with many of them there's a few things I don't agree with.
There is one thing the same author wrote in what I guess is a related blog type post that I'll 100% agree with.
Jane's Addiction, In Concert
Published on March 5, 2012 by Sara Foss
Over at the DG, I write about Friday night's Jane's Addiction show.
One complaint I didn't mention: They didn't play "My Time." Every concert always seems to have that one song you really wanted to hear, but didn't, and this was it. I think of it as "the song that got away."
I swear if they ever play My Time at a show I'm at there will be a large stream of white gooey stuff running down my legs and pooling in a puddle all over the floor of the venue.
"The quality of mercy is not strained, it dropeth as the gentle rain from heaven."
I question how much she really knows about the band...seems like a casual fan, to me...
After all, the "recreation of the album cover" that she mentions in her blog wasn't the RdlH cover, it was the "Nothing's Shocking" cover, where Etty and the other dancer (virtual look alikes) sat on the chair and mirrored each other's movements during Ted...at no point were the three of them laying together on stage...
That's a pretty grievous error in her reporting, in my mind.
Anyway, totally agree with you, Mike- I would have had the same reaction had I heard "My Time"...love that song! Alas...(sigh)
