Terminal 5 NYC 12/29/12

Post by bman »

Underground
Mountain Song
Just Because
Been Caught Stealing
Ted, Just Admit It
Ain't No Right
Irresistible Force
Up the Beach
Whores
Three Days
Splash a Little Water
Ocean Size
Stop
Jane Says
Chip Away

Show Rocked. Nice Pit and rowdy crowd. 15 songs..Not bad for Janes! I just wish they'd change the Underground/mountain Song opener. Hell open with Irresistable Force to switch it up. And drop Splash and BCS for Then She Did. Then these shows would be classic.

One of the better Janes Shows I have Seen. The band and great interaction with the crowd and the people loved it. I agree that the setlist could use more of a tweak but Janes was never really known for set list changes. Perry's voice is shot. His kids were there, upstairs in VIP. He sang to them a few times and slapped 5. That was kinda cool. When I went to see them in NJ (Wellmont, Montclair) all I wanted to hear was "Broken People" and to my surprise they played it. Last night on my drive into the City I must have played "Splash a Little Water" 100 times so it was GREAT to hear that one Live (even if Perry was not in top vocal shape). Before "Jane Says" Perry brought out 2 NY Fire Fighters who helped during Hurricane Sandy. He said that Sky Shepard and Etty grew up together. Perry had a lot to say all night about Hurricane Sandy and How New York pulled together to help each other. Before they closed the show with "Chip Away" someone in the audience showed Perry that his entire back was a Tattoo of the "Nothing's Shocking" Album cover. Great Show, Great Crowd, Great Time.

Also Perry said something about the proceeds from "Chip Away" going to Hurricane Sandy Relief. I am not quite sure what he meant. Is there already a single or Download available? Are they going to release the live Version from last night's show? Are they going to sell the NINJA Version. I am not even sure Perry knows what he is talking about half of the time.

Still it is ALWAYS GOOD to hear "CHIP AWAY"

I'd rather hear Broken People or Words rather than Splash.

I would Rather Hear ALL THREE. CHANGE THE SET and PLAY LONGER. "Broken People" is my favorite of the Three but last night I was just playing "Splash" a lot and in the mood 4 it.

I think this setlist might be off a bit based on a photo I found of the setlist.
I'm looking into it.
