Yeah, Watt was in by late '95 through all of '96, so Martyn's initial last show has got to be 3/15/95.

One reunion show I think Martyn forgot was the day after the Tibet Freedom Concert..

Most '97 shows were "acoustic", stripped down with no bassist.

Based on what you're saying I have a feeling it's going to be difficult to get 1997 100% correct.
I know you're a wealth of information and if you want to take a stab at the '97 dates I'd be glad to have you do it.

If I do it it'll be guess work more or less and would much rather not go that route.

I can give it a shot. There may be a show or two I'm clueless about, but otherwise I've got a decent idea of the lineups. 1996-1997 was probably the height of my Perry fandom, so I kept pretty good tabs on the band back then.

Also, I think Leo Chelyapov should be added to the site's P4P "roster". He played clarinet with the band for many shows during 96-98.

edit: for that matter, Thomas Johnson should probably be added too.

Johnson's involvement with Porno For Pyros (Porno For Pyros) began during the recording of their second album, Good Gods Urge, on which Johnson engineered, co-produced, and played.[3] Following the album's release, Johnson toured with Porno For Pyros from 1995 until the spring of 1997, providing samples, playing keyboards, and singing backing vocals. During this time Johnson also recorded new tracks for what should have been Porno For Pyros's third album, which were instead released on Perry Farrell’s solo effort “Song Yet To Be Sung” and Jane’s Addiction’s "Kettle Whistle".[4]

If you look at that 1996 Enit itinerary page I posted up there Thomas Johnson is listed as part of the band.

They're both in now. We don't generally need to add people into the possible lineups all that often, so I never wrote a page to do that and just have to add them manually to the database. I'm going to work on figuring out a better way to sort the selectable guys in the admin add pages so they're sorted a little more sensibly as well

I was digging through some of my archived information bits, and I got a handful of opening info via an old email from former P4P manager Paul V. sent out to the original JA mailing list back in 96:

There's 3 different bands:

EXTRA FANCY--Vancouver, Seattle & Portland CORNERSHOP--SF, LA, Denver, Dallas, New Orleans CIBO MATTO--Miami thru Chicago

As you know, Extra Fancy is the other band I manage, who are pretty awesome, too....so you get t see 'em on 3 shows!

I was digging around the other day for the opener for the April 23, 1993 show for forum member AZnit and stumbled upon the following press photo for Fun Lovin' Criminals who opened for Porno For Pyros during the September 30, 1996 - October 31, 1996 leg of the Good God's Urge Tour.



The photo had to have been put out prior to all the dates being finalized because there are several differences between what it lists and what happened. Most notably are the dates at the end of October with the dates at The Mayan being listed as "tentative".

For comparison here are the dates we list in the tour dates section:

I'm pretty new to this forum, so I have no clue if this is the right spot to mention this. I've been uploading my P4P stash to DIME, and I figured when Martina Topley-Bird joined the band onstage, she would sing a song called "Israelite". "Israelite" is from Banyan, Stephen Perkin's band (though Mike Watt is credited to the song). With that in mind, I think it's the only song she would sing on stage with the band.

At this Big Day Out show, she sings "Israelite". While Perry mentions her being joined with rapper Tricky, she doesn't sing "Sex Drive". The lyrics didn't match.
