2009 has to pack some promise... right?

I'm with scabdates, as my previous posts indicate!!! I'm just not getting it, and for where Perry is concerned, that's an alien feeling for me. Usually, he could fart through an amp and i'd dig it.
Good Iron & Wine track on that list though.
I love your optimism though hydro, genuinely - therefore, i'll refrain from slagging it again until i hear the studio version!

This can explain...
Perry Farrell realized the curtain for his loud rock n' roll persona was closing. He needed to make a change and make it fast in order to save face. He felt a irresistable pull towards electronic music in particular; music he himself could groove to and smell the roses. As he witnessed the decline of popular interest in rock music and the arrival of the internet age he knew it was safe to make the transformation. Perry decided to concentrate all his energies into remolding and recasting his image and music. He watched with an affectionate eye the careers of Moby, Thievery Corporation, Daft Punk and Kylie Minogue. He calculated his future business moves with razor-like precision. Taking his performances to different venues and to different audiences; marketing his disco-pop music to fickle yet receptive ears. Perry was eager to prove to the world the sun would continue to shine on his era of show biz.

After listening to Satellite Party all day my penis had shrunken, become hard, and felt very numb. It was similar to extreme shrinkage from cold water. It became nearly impossible to urinate and when I finally did, it streamed out in many directions and it felt very odd. This lasted for about 15 hours after listening to Satellite Party, until I woke up the next morning. I was obviously very worried, but relieved after I woke up and could use my penis again. It felt odd for a couple days until it was back to normal.
I have found no indication that these symptoms are common after listening to Jane's Addiction or Porno For Pyros though. They really keep me from listening to Satellite Party as these symptoms are alarming and scary.Has anyone else heard of these problems?

I really don't understand what people's problem is with this song. I really love it, and can't wait to hear the studio version. To me it's just another evolution of Perry's sound. He always surprises...
Though i do remember when i first heard that song "Strays" i felt similarly aghast - i thought it was a piece of shit! It's grown on me now, but i've still really gotta be in the mood to listen to it...
My point being? Stuff you initially hate you can grow to like. Who knows?
That's also i guess why i'm not as super-enthusiastic about the potential Jane's reunion as everyone else. After all, they're not the same guys they were... hanging out with "freaks and niggers"... my guess his world is far away from all that now...
But then again they essentially are the same guys and it probably will be another stroke of genius!
But, to me, the Satellite Party stuff is such an interesting direction.... Though i admit i prefer "I Can Call You Mine" or "Nasty Lil Perv" more...
But who cares what i think anyway, eh? Just my two cents worth...
