Does anyone know how well NINJA did?

Post by dharmakaya »

I know alot of you peeps are more crafty on computers and finding info then me. It seemed that most of the shows sold out or were close. Does anyone know how well this tour did maybe through Pollstar. It seemed to be one of the biggest tours of the year. They atleast got 10000 people a night, which is hard to do these days. Just wondering.

i think they got around 10,000 people per show. it depends on the city obviously.

so if the venue was 10,000 capacity or less, they sold out or came close.

atlanta seemed full, but not sold out.

The two NINJA dates I went to were pretty well attended.
I have no idea of the exact attendance at any of the dates though.

Pollstar probably will have the numbers at some point but I agree that it sold well all things considered.

I was more exciteted by the large crowds at the shows without NIN.
Don't get me wrong I like NIN for the most part but there's something about being at a venue with like minded Jane's fans that's hard to beat.

I agree Sonny that atlanta seemed full, but Lakewood is a bigger ampitheatre than most, im guessing it holds 17 to 20 thousand. It seemed atleast 3/4 the full. There were more people there at the NINJA tour then the NIN/Perfect Circle show, the Fragile tour i saw there.
From all the shows i saw on you tube (thanks Mike and fellow fanatics) the crowd seemed large. In this economy its hard to pack big venues without all the radio support that used to dominate past shows and even to get people out. I work in the music industry and if you can bring 10000 a night youre doing better than average. Even though Nickleback sell out everywhere(put shotgun in mouth). The NINJA tour was different being both bands arent mainstream, so it was special, and brought out older fans that usually dont go to shows. NIN came to Nashville last hallowen at the Sommet Center(where the Predators play) and bombed.
Mike youre a lucky fellow to have seen the Janes only shows. I had a few local promoters tell me that there was a chance of a Janes show in nashville while NIN played feetandassaroo, i mean Bonnaroo, obviously they stayed on the east coast. Im still devastaed that the Birmingham show got cancelled. I agree being in a crowd with us Janes fanatics must have been an amazing time.
Im still interested in seeing how well they actually did on Pollstar, which im sure you will dig up when its released.
Thanks for the responses guys, you rock!
