O wow I like that pic.
Black & white photos just have a quality that color photos some how lack.
As for today's technical difficulties...
It would seem that when Dave this morning and then Perry a little earlier this afternoon tweeted about the pics the resulting traffic just crushed our server.
helicine has been in contact with our provider and the issue should be resolved in the not to distant future.
In the meantime add
http://forums.janesaddiction.org/ to your favorites.
The way the site is set-up the forums and some other parts of the site are separate.
So if we have a repeat of this problem you'll still be able to find your way back here.
Once again I'm really sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone.

JANE'S ADDICTION In The Studio With DUFF MCKAGAN; First Photos Posted Online - Mar. 30, 2010
Several photos of JANE'S ADDICTION working in the studio with VELVET REVOLVER and ex-GUNS N' ROSES bass player Duff McKagan can be viewed at JanesAddiction.org.
After JANE'S reunited for a third time in late 2008 — with bassist Eric Avery on board for the first time since the band originally broke up in 1991 — and toured last spring with NINE INCH NAILS, the group began feuding once again as it tried to record new music.
Avery did not participate in the 1997 and 2001 reunions, but was replaced at different points by Flea, Martyn LeNoble and Chris Chaney.
JANE'S ADDICTION frontman Perry Farrell recently told Spinner that it's "very likely" the band will have a new member following Avery's departure. The three remaining original members — Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro and drummer Stephen Perkins — have begun writing new music with a "mystery bassist," who has been identified as McKagan. Songs for the first new album under the JANE'S moniker since 2003's "Strays" are starting to come together. "We've got one great song so far called 'Top Dog'," Farrell told Spinner.
JANE'S ADDICTION completed its participation in Australia's Soundwave Festival on March 1 in Perth.

Ha ha yeah Blabbermouth, Rolling Stone, Spinner, and a few radio stations all picked up on this today and I blame them in part for the site imploding.
I'm just glad we thought to watermark the pictures and folks are finding their way over here.
Anyone visiting for the first time today please realize things aren't usually this fucked up around here.
They're worse.
It's all good though.
Erik should have this all straightened out in the AM.
Lastly for those that have PMed and emailed asking me "who's Joseph?"
Joseph is a friend to the site.

I got through again this evening.
Prior to my call Dave confirmed what's been the worst kept secrete, Duff McKagan is "officially" your new Jane's Addiction bassist.
I talked to him about a bunch of stuff but he steered the conversation for the most part.
It's his show after all.
He stressed that writing is going well and that he's enjoying it.
I got to talk to him a little about the Strays era music and whether we can expect to hear any of it again.
He said that Duff will be learning the entire Jane's catalog but no decision or maybe he said discussion regarding the Strays tracks has taken place.
His show is so crazy.
Some dude called in for let's say relationship advise and I was cracking up when they started talking about anal.
I thought the dude was going to do his woman in the dumper on air.
I got to go to bed but I'll post more about this tomorrow.

Jane's Addiction Officially Welcomes Duff McKagan
Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins officially welcomed Duff McKagan to Jane’s Addiction as their new bassist when Farrell and Navarro yesterday both Tweeted a photo of the band at a writing session.
The band is now writing their next album, tentatively due out in the winter of 2011 on Capitol and to be supported by a worldwide concert tour.
Photos of the band at a Hollywood rehearsal space first emerged early yesterday morning at the fan website JanesAddiction.org, causing the site to crash several times as fans began descending on it.
"Tonight on his Dark Matter show Dave Navarro confirmed what’s been the worst kept secrete. Duff McKagan is now a member of Jane’s Addiction. Duff is taking over on bass for the recently departed Eric Avery," says the source.
"I know it’s not news but I’d like to welcome Duff to the fold. I wish him every success as he and the band continue to work on new music. I’d also like to take a moment to wish Eric the best. I know there are fans out there that are bummed about Eric leaving but as I told Dave on his show I’m an optimist. The way things worked out we not only have new Jane’s music to look forward to but I imagine Eric will be putting out some new music as well."
