I've often argued that this article supports my opinion that "Obvious" is about the media.
Many want to believe that it's about Eric and some kind of knock / joke on him but I don't believe that's the case.

I think you're right Mike.I also remember our conversation with Eric and he didn't seem to think the song was about him either.I thought it was really cool though when Eric said even if it was about him he'd play it anyways.
