These kiddos are very lucky that they have the option of seeking a refund. I don't know how these things work in most places, but I'm sure there are plenty of instances where they'd have been screwed out of their money. They could show a little concern for the health of the greatest rock drummer on the planet.

Frank Sinatra missed some Australian dates once, and he made a special trip back in 1959, with just a small bad-ass jazz band instead of an orchestra. It's his most wild, jazz-based performance on tape. This anecdote may not mean much to people here, but what I'm trying to say is that this could be a blessing in disguise. Jane's may return to Australia and play some makeup shows at smaller venues, in a looser, less-scripted manner.

Anyways, if you wanna expand your horizons and hear one of the best live performances of any genre ever.

we're pretty lucky to be able to get a refund.. which reminds me, i gotta go get mine in the coming days.

Here's hoping Perk heals nicely [both for his health and the enjoyment of those that are yet to see the band at whatever upcoming shows aren't yet cancelled] and when they're ready, head back to see us, playing like you said, a looser, well-oiled set.

Be well soon Stephen, and bring it boys.

I laughed when I saw the comment by that moron Chelsea Mackenzie. Just typical..
do a quick google search on her, just another bimbo..

Thanks Hydro! Queensland turned out to be a blast of fun anyway. Plus i'm seeing The Specials tonight, so it's all good. (minus no Jane's) Hey! Maybe they'll play in Summer instead?...

I guess I'm sorta on the other side of the spectrum of the argument. If I had paid the cash to see Jane's at this festival, I would have insisted on my money back and would have taken them to court if I didn't get it. Heh. No disrespect to the big corporate sponsors of the festivals or anything, but if the band you went to see cancels, well, then you didn't get what you paid for and should be allowed a refund. This is a slippery argument when you're talking about humongous festivals with hundreds of bands. If Ween dropped off Voodoo, I'd be pissed, but they're not a headlining act, so I wouldn't expect a refund. If Jane's dropped, however, a headlining act, I'd be getting my money back or fighting for it.
