I'll take the blame for the delay.
I had a buddy pop by unexpectedly today and it stopped me dead in the water.
Still I had an excellent time hanging out and talking Jane's all afternoon.

Sorry just the same I suppose but at least now you know why. :)

Thanks Trevor, that's very nice to hear and I agree with you.
I think it's a lot more work to record and transfer analog recordings but it's nice to know it's appreciated.
There are a couple more analogs I recorded in the BCS section and if you haven't heard them yet here's the links to grab them.

Both were recorded and transferred using the same gear.

5/29/09 Lifestyle Communities Pavilion, Columbus, OH

6/14/09 Chevrolet Theatre, Wallingford, CT
http://forums.janesaddiction.org//viewt ... f=2&t=1505

I recorded every show I went to and still have a few more laying around that I need to transfer and share.
Now that hard drive space is no longer an issue I hope to get to them sooner rather than later.

I'm really happy to see you say you think the band played pretty good too.
I know it's easy sometimes to be critical but it's very refreshing to read the positive stuff from time to time.

I think they played pretty damn good myself but I expected they would.
My reason being that three quarters of them have been playing together steady for the past two years.
When I saw them the first time through town back in '03 they weren't as tight as they were when the rolled back into town a couple months later.

That first time was in July and the second was in September.
I didn't get to see them in person but from the reports I've heard by the end of the year the were a juggernaut bent on destroying audiences.

I guess my point is that the more time and shows they get under their belts with Duff the better I think they'll be.

I hope that makes sense.

hey cool thanks for the new links .. i'll check them out ... i've got a few janes treats i've been thinking about sharing myself but have not decided if i want to post them on my website that i think is technically supposed to NOT host my boots of other musicians .. or try this mega upload u send it stuff which is tech i just have not explored yet ...

what really does it for me and what has always made or ruined a show for me is perry and his voice ... in this show it really sounds like he is trying to sing in his original range and that makes a huge difference for me in whether i enjoy the show or not .. the tuned down 09 sound is real hard for me to enjoy as is the low scat version of a lot of the songs he used to come out wailing in the high vocal register .. tho i will admit that erics bass attack is so essential and powerful on that tour and just hearing those notes played by him was a remarkable improvement over the strays era tour.

i hope they carry on exploring the unique and raw moments of their past and hopefully they will discard some of the overproduced modern rock sound they had adopted when they record the new music. i wanna hear shitty old acoustic guitars, beach coolers and blown out vocal effects, in fact speaking of analog ... i wonder if u can convince janes to dump the laptop studio effects and go strait to 24 inch analog tape ... i wanna hear janes do a record that sounds like good gods production wise ... earthy organic acoustic based but epic and rockin too

I get what people have said about Perry's voice - life and age may have cut down his full range, although he definitely seems to be getting some of that back. I imagine that outside aging and bodily wear/tear, that you really have to work out your vocal box and voice to get that range. I think the healthier living and sticking with it are really paying off now.
