If you've got questions don't be shy because helicine is going to be sending these in soon.
well this will just show my ignorance on what crew they could afford and such but, did they have a sound person? what was his/her name, did he/she record shows from soundboard for themselves or for any member of the band? of the 55 shows the band performed 8 shows we know are recorded, how many would he guess were really recorded?

Roughly how many Worktape 1 tapes were made, and does Rich remember when they first started selling the tape at shows, and for how long?

Jay did the Q&A with Rich this past weekend, and I've just posted his responses. Some very insightful stuff here. Check it out:

Here is a bonus goodie from Jay:
E.C. Rhycarde is Rich Evac is Rich Robinson. Rich Evac is taken from the term "medivac" or medical evacuation. "richivac" was a name that some young ladies thought was cute so it stuck.

Rich provided a couple of updates/corrections. He recalled that Aaron Sherer joined shortly after Perry did and the band had practiced with a drum machine in between trying out a different drummer who didn't work out and hiring Aaron, and reinforced that Perry's drug habit was a larger reason for him leaving the band as well.

Helen's Place was actually a night at the Anti-club in Hollywood. It was over two nights as was not in Santa monica.

Thanks so much for this interview. It provides some illumination, for sure, though spurs more questions and the desire for more details.

Funny you should mention that, Jay noticed he wrote Santa Monica too - it's been fixed.

I hear that tvrec!
I think it's a pretty good start in getting some things straightened out about the band but like you it still leaves me wanting to get answers to still more nagging questions.
At the very least we should be able to overhaul the bands Wikipedia page using this info.
