I think he means the only complete JA concert officially released on video
Duh me, I just posted about that one page back and it still went right over my head.

I hold out hope that someday we'll see a release (hopefully more than one) of live Jane's. :please:
There's stuff in the can it's just a matter of time I suspect but time will tell.

Does anyone know of or have any official artwork for this show?
I'm talking posters, flyers, etc.
I noticed we don't have anything attached to this date.
I took a look around my hard drive and this show's thread in the A Show For The Whole Family section and came up empty.

I did find these though.

Those are cool pix. I finally gave Matt Pinfield's essay inside Live Voodoo a good read. I'm amused by bits talking about the show recording which goes as follows:
One of the reasons that this Blu-ray Disc [DVD] is such an important part of history of Jane’s Addiction (besides the extraordinary performance) is that this has been one of their most sought-after live shows, and many fans believed that no recording of it had been documented. The blogs, band forums and tribute sites around the world have been buzzing since the festival, and complaining that there was, in their words, “No known recording”.
The "No known recording" comes from what we use here on this site as the generic entry for shows that we don't have recorded info for. We were, admittedly, very slow and late at updating this particular show - but we'd known it had been recorded for some time.

Oh well, it is amusing to be referenced in something like this. :wiggle:

KMUD and MCC to screen Jane’s Addiction Live Voodoo

Redwood Times
Posted: 10/06/2010 03:23:44 PM PDT

On Friday, Oct. 15, KMUD and Mateel will present a free screening of Jane’s Addiction Live Voodoo at the Mateel Community Center in Redway. Filmed live on Halloween night in 2009 at Voodoo Experience in New Orleans, Live Voodoo sees the reunion of the classic Jane’s Addiction line-up of Perry Farrell (vocals), Stephen Perkins (drums), Eric Avery (bass), and Dave Navarro (guitar). This spectacular show captures the band in top form with twin girl dancers and Perry Farrell at his most mesmerizing.

The DVD will be presented on a full-sized screen with the Mateel’s top notch sound system, offering a lifelike concert experience. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with film at 8:30. KMUD will be preparing a New Orleans style meal and Mateel will run a beer and wine bar. The event is free to attend and as close to a real Jane’s Addiction show that we’ll likely ever get in Southern Humboldt. For more information, contact KMUD at 923-2513/ www.kmud.org or Mateel at 923-3368/ www.mateel.org.
