That day [Cleveland 8/05/1991] I brought along my best friend [and future wife, of 18+ years].
It was the first time we had a photo taken - with the both of us together

Jane's was the foundation that brought us together, and the art afterwards has somewhat still been the glue...

...Also I'm almost 100% sure it was the first show I drove to, not having to rely on hitching a ride

Thanks again, I'm going to watch the DVD

It still pisses my off that some asshole had to clock Perry in the face with that glow stick.
I know we'd have gotten another song or two had that not happened.
I've got a feeling the asshole that threw it got his ass kicked as I saw where it came from and there was a ruckus in that area of the pavilion after he threw it.

If you watch the DVD closely you'll see Dave throw what I've always assumed was the same glow stick back into the audience after picking it up off the stage.

What a fun night though and I'm really happy to have a pretty good memory of it.
Twenty years ago right now Siouxsie was doing her thing and thinking back she was like the calm before the storm that was Jane's that night.

Wish I had a time machine.

How do 90,000 weirdos celebrate a birthday? With one kick-ass cake. Duff Goldman from Charm City Cakes bakery in Baltimore and the Food Network's Ace of Cake presented Perry Farrell with one of his signature cakes this morning to help kickoff Lolla's 20th year.

Duff's memories of Lolla's gone by are "mud, flannel, Alice & Chains and turkey legs." He and his souse chef Geoff said they are most looking forward to seeing the band Mountain Goats and Ryan Bingham this weekend but are most excited to see Eminem tomorrow night. "I'm a huge Eminem fan," said Duff.

While they plan to spend most of the weekend rockin' out in Grant Park, Duff is hoping to sneak over to Hoosier Mama Pie Co.
