Bilbao BBK Live, nowadays the main pop-rock music festival in the Basque Country, being held July 9-11 on the Kobeta mountain in the capital of Biscay, will include performances by Primal Scream, Depeche Mode, Jane's Addiction, Dave Matthews Band, Chris Cornell, Kaiser Chiefs, Echo And The Bunnymen, Asian Dub Foundation or Placebo.

In its fourth edition, which will take place, one more time, on the so-called Kobetamendi (Kobeta mountain) premises, Bilbao BBK Live's venues will be hosting pop-rock acts such as Depeche Mode (despite his lead singer underwent cancer surgery in May), Jane's Addiction, Dave Matthews Band, Echo And The Bunnymen, Asian Dub Foundation, Chris Cornell (the former Soundgarden vocalist who left rock for electro) or Placebo.

This year's line up goes as follows:

Thursday's (July 9) gigs include artists like Depeche Mode (UK), Basement Jaxx (UK, house), Editors (UK), The Ting Things (UK), Vetusta Morla (Madrid), The Gaslight Anthem (US, rock), Motor (US-France, electro rock), and Lain (Basque Country).

Echo And The Bunnymen (UK), Jane's Addiction (US), Kaiser Chiefs (US), Dave Matthews Band (US), Chris Cornell (US), Babyshambles (UK), Supergrass (UK) and El Columpio Asesino (Navarre) will be the protagonists bands on Friday July 10.

The festival will culminate on Saturday July 11 with concerts offered by Primal Scream (UK), Fischerspooner (US), Asian Dub Foundation (UK), The Phenomenal Handclap Band (US), Baddies (UK), Cycle (Madrid), It Hugs Back (UK) and Ama Say (Basque Country).

Day tickets


A three-day wristband which includes camping right is priced at 136 Euros, while a one-day entrance ticket for Thursday, when Depeche Mode are headlining, costs 55 Euros.

Day tickets for for Friday and Saturday will cost 42 Euros each, including distribution costs. They can be bought in advance through BBK, the Tick Tack Ticket website, at allocated sales points or from the Festival ticket office at a slightly elevated price.

The performances are already scheduled. Doors will close at 3.00 am every night.

Getting there

Bilbao BBK Live tickets include the right to camp in the reserved area during the festival. Food and drink can be brought into the area, but not into the concert venue situated 400m away.

The festival venue cannot be accessed by non-authorised vehicles but the venue can be reached by buses provided by Bilbao Council. Buses leave from the Bus Terminal 'Termibus', next to San Mames stadium, and from BEC-Bilbao Exhibition Centre. Those using the service should present their festival tickets to the driver. Taxis will be authorised to enter for those choosing to travel that way.
