All of yesterday's traffic overloaded the database that runs most of the site, and as of right now (7:04am EDT), the bulk of the site is still down. That should be resolved within a couple of hours. I have to call my provider and tinker w/ a few things and then hopefully we can bring it back online and/or set it up on a more powerful server.

These problems do not impact the forums, they are working just fine

What a crazy day yesterday was.
The hits on the site were staggering.

I think we learned some valuable lessons and we'll be better prepared in the future.

The DB and server load problems have been corrected. We handled over 2x the traffic yesterday than we did on Tuesday and the server didn't break a sweat.
