Perry Farrell, the perfect musical mix of alluring vocals, enticing lyrics, and experimental style, will once again bring his talents to Lollapalooza festivities this summer on August 6, 7 & 8 at Chicago’s Grant Park.

Not performing on the main stage, however, former Janes Addiction frontman Farrell is presenting his non-stop electronic and dance music stage known as “Perry’s,” along with the unveiling of his new dance project called “Precision Guided Musicians” aka PGM.

With the North American debut of Empire of the Sun, this iconic frontman will perform as Perry-Etty vs. Chris Cox amongst a line-up electronic artists like Digitalism, Kaskade, 2ManyDJs and Felix da Housecat, to name a few.

August 7 “Perry’s” will transform into the “PGM” with Farrell to perform under the PGM banner.

The 2010 Lollapalooza’s already stellar rock and roll roster includes Soundgarden, Green Day, Lady Gaga, and The Strokes among others.

PERRY FARRELL
GEARS UP FOR THIS SUMMER’S LOLLAPALOOZA
WITH “PRECISION GUIDED MUSICIANS” aka “PGM”
AND COLLABORATIONS WITH JUACHIM GARRAUD, STEVE PORTER, MARK KNIGHT AND MORE

PERRY FARRELL’s commitment to electronic music goes to an even higher level as the renowned musician gears up for one of the year’s most anticipated events, Lollapalooza, on August 6, 7 and 8 at Chicago’s Grant Park. In addition to the annual festival’s incredible line-up (Soundgarden, Green Day, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, The Strokes, Phoenix, MGMT and more), his non-stop electronic and dance music stage known as “Perry’s” returns even bigger for 2010 along with the introduction of his new dance project called “Precision Guided Musicians” aka PGM.

The area will highlight the North American debut of Empire of the Sun as well as Perry’s own performance as Perry-Etty vs. Chris Cox amongst a line-up of superb electronic artists like Digitalism, Kaskade, 2ManyDJs and Felix da Housecat, to name a few. On Saturday, August 7, for one day only during the festival, “Perry’s” will transform into the “PGM” area for which the dance artists including Rusko, Steve Porter and Joachim Garraud join with Farrell to perform under the PGM banner. Be on the look-out for more PGM announcements in the near future.

Farrell has already teamed up with Steve Porter on the remix of Jane's Addiction's “Superhero” (the powerful opening theme song of the hit HBO show “Entourage”) which premiered at Coachella as well as with French producer Joachim Garraud to craft six tracks. The first is "Calling Her,” a big-room, pop-dance creation to be released soon.

About Perry Farrell:
Perry Farrell is one of the most influential and original musical figures in recent history. Dubbed as the "Godfather of Alternative Rock,” Farrell fronts Jane's Addiction which got it’s start the early 80's. Creating a new genre and musical movement, Farrell and Jane's Addiction changed the music scene and paved the way for bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and STP to follow. In 1993, Perry created Porno for Pyros, a daring evolution to his diversity and growth. In 2010, Farrell along Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins officially welcomed Duff McKagan to Jane’s Addiction. Together they are now writing their next album, tentatively due out in the winter of 2011 on Capitol and to be supported by a worldwide concert tour. As well as being a groundbreaking musician, he is the creator and founder of Lollapalooza. Launched in 1991, Spin magazine listed Lollapalooza as the #1 tour that changed the world. Known for its musical diversity, Lollapalooza was instrumental in exposing alternative music formats to the masses and establishing a sense of commonality across a fragmented demographic. The first of its kind, Lollapalooza quickly established itself as a lifestyle festival, pushing the envelope and exposing concert goers to a subculture of 'alternative' living and art, and provided a platform for numerous environmental and human-rights causes as well. As a constant creative force, Farrell continues to push his own artistic horizon as a music producer, electronic music performer and visual artist, as well as a rock icon.
