I ran across this article this morning.
Looks like Perry decided to hang around after Satellite Party's show and have some fun.

I haven't heard a single soul say it happened so I'm going to report that the rumored set by the Police or Foo Fighters that was supposed to happen in a gap between Interpol and the Jesus and Mary Chain never happened.
But, something else did - and it was one of those moments worth suffering in the desert sun was about.
My friend, Virginia, decided to accompany me to see the Nightwatchman while Nadia headed over to Peter, Bjorn and John (or PB & J as Nadia puts it). We checked out Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello's politically-charged acoustic performance, but wore tired of it quickly.
"I'm sick of listening to music that sounds like the stuff my parents listened to back in the 60's when the meaning was still valid," she said.
I halfheartedly agreed (I think Morello does more for me as a Rage member) until we decided to move on (we've walked a lot) to the Mojave tent where Peter, Bjorn and John were playing.
Morello began one song: "You might remember this song, it's one we learned in the third grade."
After much hype, Morello invited out his "under-rehearsed" friends Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction/Satellite Party and Boots Riley of the Coup (which will play the Outdoor Theatre tomorrow) for a rising rendition of Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land," during which Farrell sang along while Riley busted an improved verse.
"The president wouldn't sing a song for us," Riley said before the performance.
Chanting by the crowd got louder as the song wore on, ending as many in the Gobi tent sang along. It's only been a few hours, but I've already ranked it highly on my list of great Coachella moments.
And now, even more than before, I can't wait for Rage Against the Machine tomorrow night.
