i followed this band for over 35 yrs....and one thing that really pisses me off is...they went comercial...
perry and eric started this band...and erik got screwed...perry was the main singer in my life....but he became a red neck now...he chose dave and stephen over his original boy who started this band....fuck you perry...i see nothing good of jane's no more....as i wached all my videos today on my day of from 86-90 and then some til now...erik was the band...
jane's is dead in my book....the 3 of them are all about the money...red carpet fag fucks....30yrs later and still jammin' the same shit....and i don't look forward of buying the new disc....as my favorite singer once said ( R.I.P- PETER STEELE )trust and you'll be trusted said the lier to the fool....perry farrell your it....you suck....god bless Eric Avery...

whoa whoa whoa humanoid! Dude I understand you have been a long time fan and have devoted your time and energy into Perry and his music. I hate to see anyone in so much pain that you write the things you have. Id just like to suggest for your own wellness that you might take a minute to find something to be grateful for. Don't let anyone take away the good memory's and love you had for the band. Not even the band/members itself/themselves! don't let it kill you like that! have some faith and hope in the people and music who once ment so much too you inspire without judging

I'd also like an explanation of how Eric got screwed. The band broke up in 91, in 97 he was approached and didn't want to come back. EA held that position until the NME thing - he came back and gave it a go. It didn't work out. It sucks, but so be it. I don't see how he got screwed. The new writing/recording process didn't work out, okay that sucks too. I think it was just approached differently than it should have - the fault probably falls on "both sides" of the line, but I don't think there was enough sensitivity in how JA had changed vs. rekindling the classic vibe.

And again, as Charles hinted at, people change over time.

You'll always have classic JA, if you don't care about new JA, that's fine, ignore it. The only one who will let new JA ruin old JA for you is you.
