Thanks but I didn't make a remix (would've liked to, but just too busy these days.. damn being employed), just the instrumental and almost-instrumental mixes I spent 2 minutes on, but that was nothing more than muting the vocals.

I hate to be a self pimping bitch but u only get to remix a janes tune so many times in your life .. the voting for the top remix is underway and I was #20 but now i am at #50 .. i wouldn't mind if all the the top 20 were not absolutely horrible britney spears techno remixes .. but they are, and they are not that good either .. i tried to bring out the goth and rearrange the song so it sounded like the old janes a little more .. who knows if its very good or not .. i just know its way better than the blips and bleeps and the crap all the other remixers are doing .. so come on janes fans .. vote me into the top 20 so janes will hear it and at least an make up their own mind .. i am pretty sure the other contestants just set up 50 email accounts and vote for themselves .. i only have 1 email account and i am still doing ok in the rankings .. just need more votes ..

So now that it's over I wanted to post my remix of Irresistible Force and my thoughts regarding my interpretation of the tune. Like Trevor, I chose to "honor" the tune and Jane's Addiction by using the stems as they written, recorded, and provided to particpants. The only additional voice I used was a low synth part during my intro/ending. Gotta say that I'm pretty disappointed that the winner was allowed to submit their work after the deadline (perhaps I don't know all the circumstances but find it irritating). In addition, "Honorable Mention" remixes were a mixed bag...While I respect the effort of all participants, I am pretty much blown away that some were selected for recognition. Judge for yourself.
