Who's read this? What are your thoughts? I meant to search for this topic awhile ago, but forgot

I had wanted to read it for awhile, but finding time to read it always hard (unless it's summer). Anyhow, my professor assigned us a paper to write about a celebrity and then basically we had to analyze them. Obiv. I jumped on the opportunity to read this book and loved it! I would have loved it even more if it had been longer (thus following Dave over more than the course of a year - something similar to AK's Scar Tissue). The paper ended up being fairly easy to write since Dave somewhat analyzed himself and I ended up getting an A. Sadly (and I guess not surprisingly) my professor had never heard of DN or JA. :/

I love DTTAH. Scary year of an addicts life. I'm surprised Dave survived that year. The part when Dave goes to his little brother's school is a riot. I think he got loaded in the bathroom before playing some songs for the kids. Scar Tissue, Slash's book, and DTTAH are all great reads.

The book is a good read and it's surprising that Dave came out of that time of his life alive. It would still be great to read the original finished copy that he submitted before it was edited and names and events removed.
