Questions For Etty

Hi everyone.
I exchanged a few messages with Etty last week.
She tentatively agreed to chat with me at some point this week.
I just got a message from her a little while ago.
It looks like we will be chatting either tomorrow or Friday.

I already have several questions I plan to ask.
What's Satellite Party up to?
Will Perry be playing at this years Coachella?
What do you know about the Jane's Addiction Box Set?

I could go on and on.
However I really liked asking YOUR questions when I spoke with Perry this past summer.
I liked it so much I thought I'd give YOU a chance to submit YOUR questions again.

Post them here in this thread.
I will ask as many as time permits.
Please bare in mind that I won't be able to keep Etty tied up all day.
So if there's one question you'd really like asked prioritize your questions.

Hey NS, thanks for asking. Here's a few.

1) Hi Etty. What can you tell us about the direction the new songs are taking? Will the next Satellite Party album be similar in style & sound to Ultrapayloaded, or something totally new and surprising?
2) Is Perry still fond of his earlier roots of influence in music. That being afrobeat, hippie acoustic, Jamaican Dub and Eastern world musique?
3) We really liked the Janes Addiction cover version of "Ripple" by the Grateful Dead. Would Perry ever consider playing that song live again?
4) Does Perry ever write some of the guitar/bass riffs himself?
5) Have you and Perry ever been to the "Burning Man" festival? If so, can you tell us about your experience(s) there?
6) Perry's performances were really fantasic on the last tour, especially his rendition of "Pets". Were any of those live shows professionally recorded for future release?
7) Why did Nuno abandon Satellite Party in the middle of your tour?
8) If Perry had the opportunity to work with any musician/artist in the world on a songwriting collaboration, who would it be?

Thanks!

**Whats new for SP? (new album, tour, plans for new guitar/drummer etc)

**I noticed someone filming on stage at three of the Satellite Party shows I went to in the fall. Are you planning to release the footage at some point or was that just for personal posterity?

**Besides the three songs that were played at Hotel Cafe, are there any other new ones? Did you record those on the road or after the tour was over?

I also want to know more about the box set and if there is a recording of the 3 days poem on is own w/out music.

Thanks NS, Thanks Etty!

:)

Well, I guess since this is an interview with Etty, I will skip my questions for Perry. I would like to know:

1. What was her favorite city on the last tour and why?

2. Who is her biggest influence and why?

3. Will there be more Mob Squads on the next tour?

I have a million questions, but for now I will just ask these.

Thanks!!! :wiggle:

Those are some good question you guys and gals.
Thanks for taking the time.

I'm under the impression this will take place tomorrow (Friday).
Seeing as it didn't happen yesterday and Etty said yesterday or Friday.

Anyhow thanks again for taking the time to type up your questions.
I'll get to as many as Etty has time for.

Any late comers you can still submit you questions.
I'm going to try and ask them on a first posted first asked basis.
Unless I really like you question and think it would benefit us as a community to have it answered.
