Perry with The Doors on "Storytellers"

So, back in 2000 the remaining Doors did a little special for VH1 "Storytellers," where they teamed up with a number of modern-day vocalists to play some Doors classics.
This show began with a fade-in featuring Mr. Farrell singing the conclusion of "L.A. Woman." In my opinion Perry was the only one fit to stand in the shoes of Morrison in that entire show and, in fact, on all of planet Earth.
I'd like to know a couple of things about this performance.
1. Why did they cut this? Was it flawed? Was there a legal or financial issue? Was there some kind of time issue?
2. Is there audio or video of this performance out there in fan circles?
My favorite bands in the rock sphere are Jane's, The Doors, and the Velvet Underground. I love what Perry did with "Woman In the Window," and of course I love the couple of recordings of "L.A. Medley" I've got. This would be a really neat thing to hear.
