I apologize for that
I am just trying to get Perry's attention
so in my next post we will discuss
the letter I wrote a girl called "100 ways"
all the letters were written in a 7th grade school year
from fall of 1990 to summer of 1991
believe it or not
(from a other post)
(Someone posted with a signature)
(that said "birds build their homes right above my head")
first of all the lyrics "birds build there home here
right above my head"
were not written by Perry
I remember writting to a girl I had a crush on
I was sitting in my bed and through the window
I could hear birds singing they had made their
nest in the attic.
So I wrote "birds build their homes here
right above my head"
the part "they make the same sounds
kind of like you do" really does not make
sense but I wrote it down
I think Perry used it because sounds like it's saying
the sounds when they or us made love
I wrote about thinking of her in bed
"When I laying in my bed"
"100 ways"
"I thought about you and me 100 ways"
I remember getting laugh at for that
the girl I wrote the letters to would bring
them to school and let her friends read them
and they would say "What are you doing while your laying in bed
thinking of her, wacking off"
But the girl I wrote the letters to really didn't like me
mostly they made fun of the letters like the part
"And now I lay awake and dream you're right above my face
Look into my eyes the way you do and don't look away"
Her friends said that she said "If I was right above your face
that it would be scary" and also the part
"I would kiss you before you open up your eyes"
she said "If you kissed me and I opened up my eyes and saw you I would scream"
or something like that
Mostly the chorus was written by me
the part about "I can hear the rain coming in from miles away"
"Air is so clean like your skin next to my face"
which is another stange lyric but I think Perry like it
I give most of the credit to my brother he came up with
the parts mostly used for the verses
"You didn't have to give your necklace to me before I left
Now I lay awake and think how very smart you were"
There was no necklace given or gifts
and girl and I were never togther but
my brother came up with the parts that
sounded like a person writting about him and his lover
maybe he used his own experience from a relationship
he was in
He was a good writer
I think the girl now a woman still has those letters
I think she gave them to bands
So thats two songs my words were used in
"100 ways" and "Just Because" and there are more
So go ask Perry if you don't believe me
all I want is to meet him I don't care if he uses my words
I love that song it is one of my favorites
