Found this while looking for some news last night.
http://janesaddiction.org/discographies ... discID=541
Helciline added it to his site's discography today.
I'd never seen it before last night but it was at the top of the list when I googled.
Here's a link where you can listen to a two minute sample.
http://www.towerrecords.com/product.aspx?pfid=4281149
Track number 6
Anyone know anything else about it?

That tracks is a funky remix of "Seeds", from SYTBS.
Credits say "lyrics and music by Perry Farrell" but the downtempo-house and programming and mixing were done by Dj Garth and now he uses that song as well.
So happens the same thing with Hybrid,Thievery Corporation and Dj Garth: Perry co-writing songs with electronic artists and then both using his own version of the song (with different mixing) for their own album.....

Thanks for that info StickyFingers.
I got it in the mail yesterday and it's pretty wild.
I think what you say is correct for the most part.
The only thing that I'm not 100% sure of is it's original origin.
I once saw on gemm a DJ Promo of Seeds.
I'm 99% sure it said Rocket VS Peretz mix.
I'm thinking this DJ Garth guy's version started with that.
I'm a idiot and didn't buy the DJ Promo when I saw it.
So I have no way of proving this.

Thank you NS!
me too. i'm not sure which one is "original" version.
I found pretty strange that Dj Garth released an album in 2004 without including this remix: SYTBS it was in 2001.........
ps:no man, you are not an idiot. You did a great thing doing this site.
I sent a PM to Hoka telling about this site.He told me to tell you is a cool site and he likes, even if he probably won't post here.

I have the white label promo: Perry Farrell vs. Rocket "Seeds." Can't quite recall when I picked it up, but it was some time ago for sure. If the tower.com clip is the first two minutes, it is actually a different mix.

I picked up the dj garth cd yesterday, and the mix is definitely different. I'm not an electronica afficianado so I could not say exactly how, but the beats are different and the mix on the cd is also 3.5 minutes shorter than the 12", which is also a greyhound mix like the cd.
