Perry Farrell Going through the old boxes as I cleaned out the garage. Found the original hand written poetry books from early Jane's days- tellingly stained. I read through them- finding many unrecorded songs to use as inspiration while we continue to write. When was the last time you pulled out old letters (before emails) and re-r...ead them? It's a haunting feeling. Memory sparks fly. I am happy how things turned out.

His post today inspired me to get out my box of letters from when I lived away from home...oh my gosh was it wild to read all the letters fom my little sister! She was 7 when I moved and she wrote me every week...sometimes 2 or 3 times a week for the entire 7 years I was gone!! It's a big box!...some of the letters are post-it-notes with little funny pics and nothing else in the envelope! So funny and cute!

AND...oh how I would love to see those poetry books!!! too cool!!

I've been thinking about this a bit since reading Perry's post and I keep coming to the same conclusion.

That is I'd give just about anything to have a glimpse at these books.

I'm sure that sounds fanboyish but those things have to just ooze history.

I'm happy that Perry has hung onto them all these years.

I'm thinking that maybe since it's old stuff from back in the day...that the old Janes vibe might show up in the new songs they're writing...how cool would that be? Modern Jane's with a Vintage twist?? :ns: :happydrink:
