Unreleased PFP songs

Post by Eric B. »

In the discography list on pete's website there's mention of a few songs from porno for pyros that were never released.

Titles are "Surf girls:, "How to live like a celebrity pet", "dismissed" and "Till death do us part". Does anyone know more about these tracks. Seems like pete at least officially registered those songs??

see:

Somewhere halfdown the list.

Hi Eric:)
those are titles or names of a TV or Movie show that an original PFP song was used in

Unrelate to topic. I listen to Mike Watt radio and Peter DiStefano. Martyn LeNoble is good but Mike Watt I like better on the bass. http://www.peterdistefanoscircle.org/co ... php?t=1183

OK, right. Thanks for clearing that up. Those titles already sounded somewhat familliar to me.

Thanx.

I can believe the unrelease songs of p4p bridge gap of Good Gods Urge and the Song Yet To Be Sung. A new p4p album can mix the psychedelic acoustical of GGU with vocal harmony of SYTBS. They can take the tribal rhythm higher. This can equal enlightenment like Good Gods Urge is enlightenment. I know Peter DiStefano and Perry Farrell can put there mind to do this. If they want it. Maybe they trip out to Bali again and sing harmony like the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson. I can believe in the possibility, can you.

as much as i would love a new pfp record, obviously they are in janes mode at the moment. however, i think a good gods approach would be really cool. take the core perry, dave and stephen, then invite cool music friends in the studio to fill it out. pete could sit in the way dave did on good gods, we could get a flea track or two, maybe some watt, some lenoble, a few of stephens banyan buds, do one song at a time. I am really hoping the band takes more of an achilles last stand approach to over dubs and less of a def leppard approach so they retain the organic element perry perfected on good gods. i really hope they get some good bass because its is really hard to write 10 minute epics without a bass to anchor the jams.

This idea I like. They make p4p website. They take donations for new p4p recordings on the site. When they can reach the goal of donation they record new album for us. Then we are happy. :grouphug:

That ship has sailed folks...Perry is in the same head space or universe that he was back in the day...91 and 96 are a long time ago. I'm curious to see what the new JA sound is..But I think Perryz music stylings these days are more Satelite Party/SYTBS/Go All The Way...
