Two huge mistakes/losses:

1. No album made by the Jane's Relapse band following that tour
2. No P4P made following the Relapse tour

One or the other or both should have happened. It's painful to think about.

Hi you can describe the songs more for us? They sound like songs of Good Gods Urge or difference? Maybe Peter call you again and play them more. Sorry for my bad english. Sometime my girlfriend help me post but not today. Please tell us more of them they sound.
haha yeah Pete is more than welcome to play those songs again for me anytime :P

I did ask Pete a few days ago how he would describe them and he said the record would be something in between the first and GGU.

id say it would be like the icing between an oreo cookie

like it would tie the other 2 together
id say the lyrics were more personal to what was going on in their lives at the time.real story's about their drug use and girls.that might be a hint that we may never hear these songs.
at this point Perry is full speed ahead looking towards the future.I do believe the time could come one of these dayz though :please:

Thank you Hydro. I like the direction of the Good Gods Urge. I can feel they can go deeper in the world music. I know Perry like Thievery Corporation and the world music they can do. I do believe the Porno For Pyros drumming is superior above the techno. It is natural and organic and earthy and better. This is true.

I think they did not move forward with Porno in 2004 because after Jane's broke up Stephen Perkins went on to the Panic Channel. He was not available to play or record with them. Perry and Pete were working together around that point in time. Remember Pete played on Ultrapayloaded. Also they played a new Porno song "Agua" live. There was mention of it in the surfing mag thing as well.

To be fair, they did play a couple of songs at Perry's birthday party in 2009. Miraculously, even Martyn was there.

Nevertheless, the odds of Martyn ever agreeing to a longer-term reunion are slim, based upon his ouster from Jane's 3.0, and comments he has made about being unwilling to work with Jane's again (presumably due to his tumultuous history with PF). So that leaves Watt as the only other legit option. Watt does play in Hellride with Pete and Perk, but what's his relationship with Perry like? I dunno. Even if Watt was on good terms with the whole band, would he be interested?

I think it would be really hard for these guys to get the vibe back. Look at those pictures of them from the GGU days, all high and frolicking in the woods with their faces painted and shit (there was a really good set on facebook, but I don't remember where). Those guys just aren't like that anymore. I will say that Pete is still an excellent songwriter, so at least that part of the equation is still intact.

He is not interested in Porno For Pyros other than playing their sole hit Pets as a Dj or with another band. He wasn't interested at all the past 14 years. Pete probably begged and pleaded with him to do Porno at the birthday bash. If you watch those videos he looks nervous before, between and after the songs. That tells me its not something he can even feel comfortable with whatsoever.
If you need evidence of what little regard he has for a Porno reunion read no further
Etty: Perry was in the room with me when Mike was asking me about P4P. When Mike came to the question about this alleged album of P4P songs, Perry was shaking his head vigorously. I took that as a "no". Later when I go off the phone, I asked him again about this "album" and he said that it is probably a collection of songs that the band had written. He said that if the songs are what he thinks they are, they will need a lot of work, and at this time he is not interested in working on them. A couple of weeks ago, we did hear that the other members of P4P are ready for a comeback, when I suggested maybe a one off show for Coachella or Lolla, Perry said no. I then said maybe in five years, he shrugged and said maybe.

I'm not even saying that the ship hasn't sailed. I mean, that music was played by some wild guys with a crazy lifestyle, and now they're not all fucked up on drugs and running loose. I don't think that a person has to be fucked up on drugs to wear rubber bondage suits and sing about jerking off to a race riot, or paint his face and run around the forest playing acoustic guitar and collecting flowers, but it sure doesn't hurt. It's hard to picture the domesticated Perry making that kind of weird excitement happen, although he's still kind of nuts. Then there's Pete. Even sober, Pete is a fucking wild man. I don't know. If they can't be bohemian and go live on an island and get dirty and sleep in a grass hut or some shit, (and something tells me that certain forces would make this difficult) then it may be best to let it rest. Still, if it were announced tomorrow I'd be first in line. I kinda do think Pete could do it. He's all about crazy adventures and living the music and all that. I don't think he needs hard drugs to do that.

As for that quote from Etty, talking about Perry, it's old. I can't remember how old, but it's gotta be around 3-4 years old. So that's something to consider when Perry says he doesn't want to do it right now, maybe in five years, etc. Most of that time has elapsed.

Lots of people do Pyros covers now and the more interest in the band comes now. Not just the Pets they do other songs like the Sadness. This one is good. He do wild falsetto like Perry at 1:44.
