I'll have at it.
I'm gonna do it right away too before they decide to pull it like they did the one for End To The Lies.

Speaking of End To The Lies did anyone else notice they have it titled End Of The Lies in this video?

I ripped this video from youtube. I missed the lyrics video for ettl. I think it was only up for a day or so. Someone here got that one? I'd be interested. If there's interest I can upload the video although I never did that and don't know how it works. I myself use this link to download stuff from youtube. Works like a charm:

Here's what I came up with based 100% on the video.
I sort of tried to keep the lines that were the same text type together.
Whether or not that's the right way to do it I don't know but it's how I did it.
I also didn't mess around with capitalizing anything.
Also each section of lyrics represent one of the pages from the video.
Again I don't know if this was the right way to do it but it's what I did.
At any rate it's a start.

Irresistible Force

we didn't know that it would blow up
with such might
we stars are even brighter
contrasted by the night

sent out shock waves
filled up the outer space
even the ghost came
to the late late late show
watch us play

everything went tossing
everyone was talking
making up their faces
wonder what we look like naked

ah the irresistible force met the immovable object oh
ah the irresistible force met the immovable object
banging and banging, and banging, and banging, and banging, together

we've become a big business
a galaxy Merger
the two of us a big bang
god is a real man
god is a dad
god is a dad

ah the irresistible force met the immovable object oh
ah the irresistible force met the immovable object
banging and banging, and banging, and banging, and banging, together

ah the irresistible force met the immovable object oh
some may call me a lucky shot
no, but it was not
banging and banging, and banging, and banging, and banging, together
"The quality of mercy is not strained, it dropeth as the gentle rain from heaven."

LISTEN: Jane's Addiction Drop New Single

By William Goodman on August 3, 2011 11:13 AM

Last week at a gig in New York City, Jane's Addiction debuted "Irresistible Force," the first single from their reunion album The Great Escape Artist (out September 27), and we dug it on the strength of its "moody verses, tribal drum rolls, and soaring, anthemic choruses." Now, the studio version of the song has emerged online.

While frontman Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro both put in stunning performances, the real star of "Irresistible Force" -- the second new track, after "End to the Lies" -- is Dave Sitek, the TV On the Radio multi-instrumentalist who produced The Great Escape Artist. He helped the Los Angeles quartet embrace digital technology -- synths, MIDI, effects -- for the first time in their 25-year career, and brings electronic flourishes and his trademark production sheen to the dark, menacing song. It sounds like a band revitalized.

"We are taking great risks and writing in ways that we have never written before," Farrell recently told SPIN. "[The Great Escape Artist] is a really amazing piece of art, an amazing piece of music. It will make people say, 'This is strangely beautiful.'"

Sadly having to agree. I'm so hoping I can pull at least something vital and lasting from this new one. Strays was a massive disappointment to me as well.

Sorry to piss on the parade...understand we all *ahem* have our own opinions which makes this board the best. So roll on Sept 27th ay :!:

I was really hoping for a Hard Charger type of sound or song for the new record. I think it'll be more U2 ish.

I  the beginning of the song!! It has a Satellite Party/new~newave vibe to it. not so much the chorus but over all it's a cool song

Huh? There were touches of synth on the old albums. Then She Did, for example, has a bunch of synths. Then there was synth way back on "Slow Divers." There were loads of electronics on "So What!" and "Kettle Whistle" (the song). Strays has a bunch of electronic things on it too. I was just listening to Hyperleaked with headphones the other day and was noticing all that stuff.

So, Spin doesn't know what they're talking about, but I like Sitek and his input, and I like that a major music mag gave Jane's some very positive attention, so I'll take it.

So I've listened to Irresistible Force a few times and I like it. As of now I think I like ETTL better. Saw them in NYC & Irresistible Force was good live, I know people were saying there was lip synching, there is good energy to the song. My only concern is that it has such a polished feel to it.
