He can do it! He can preserve sound and feeling same way it was create back then. I know he and Peter Distefano and Mike Watt can do it right.
Hidefumi, I hate to break it to ya buddy but its not going to happen and even if it did you're setting yourself for a huge disappointment. Take a look at the Porno For Pyros live footage below my post. You see that hip guy with the Indian tunic and long beads, grasping his mic on its stand...with his eyes closed belting out the words to "My Time" with power and conviction? You see the guy playing his harmonica and tambornine having a good time? That guy checked out a long time ago. The best thing is to enjoy the footage from back then because he can't recreate that and like Ejs said, any attempt at making P4P music wouldn't have the same spirit or emotion. Perry probably knows he can't do it justice and left it alone and I respect the guy for that.
Pete has a few accoustic porno songs on a cassette tape. Probably Agua and a few others. I'd love to hear another hippy trippy surf rock Porno album. But Perry takes 10 years to do anything so I doubt it.
Am I the only person who misses the acoustic guitar in Perry's songs? I don't really consider the clean electric guitar parts as acoustic, its not the same at all. I did a little checking and since the year 2000, (I may be missing a few but it looks like) Perry has written

Hi Pete, it may not be my place to do so but I want to apologize for some of the nonsense posted in this thread.
I sometimes wish people would attempt to enlighten themselves prior to engaging their keyboards.
At any rate thanks for returning my PM from several months back.
hydro spoke to you a while back about the question I had regarding Neil Young and you'd already answered it.
I'm digging the new song Mystic Leaders that you posted yesterday.
It seems like an old friend already.
Thanks for sharing it and here's a link for anyone who wants to give it a listen.
