Dave Navarro's loft
The rock guitarist puts his Broadway Hollywood condo on the market -- $30,000 in blackout curtains included.
Dave Navarro -- guitarist for Jane’s Addiction and host of Spike TV’s Ink Master -- has listed his Hollywood loft for just under $1 million. The 1,570-square-foot condo, located in the Broadway Hollywood building, features 15-foot-high ceilings and panoramic, north-facing views of the Capital Records building as well as the Hollywood sign.
Navarro purchased the open plan unit in 2007 for $1.04 million -- a year after he split from his third wife, Carmen Electra -- and converted the space into a high-glam rock hideaway. Details include crushed vinyl wallpaper in the entry, an eye-popping black, white and red bathroom and a shimmering Ann Sacks backsplash in the open-concept kitchen.
"The building has this very New York loft feeling with a doorman and 24-hour concierge and valet parking," says listing agent Skyler Hynes of Coldwell Banker. "There’s a Katsuya on the first floor that delivers room service to all of the lofts, and the rooftop pool and cabanas are insanely beautiful."
The unit, which was designed by decorator Heidi Toll, also features blackout curtains worth more than $30,000 and Navarro's custom white vinyl-upholstered platform bed, which will be included in the sale. Although the unit technically doesn't have a bedroom, the bed can be hidden from the main living area with a view-blocking curtain.
The 10-story 1928 building, located on Hollywood and Vine, was purchased by KOR Group in 2004 and was given an interior decorating overhaul by Kelly Wearstler. Over the years, it has housed the likes of Charlize Theron, Jason Statham and Wilmer Valderrama. "Compared to other residential buildings in the area, which are very open, this is the opposite: You don't feel like you're in a scene here," says Hynes. "You're just coming home to a beautiful building with a great staff."

Inside Dave Navarro's Bachelor Pad
The 10-story Broadway tower, built in 1928, is listed on both the California and National Historical registers.
Rocker Dave Navarro’s bachelor pad in the heart of Hollywood hits the market today. The tattooed guitarist of Jane’s Addiction, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and now host of the Spike TV’s Ink Master, is listing his 1,570-square-foot loft at Hollywood and Vine for $949,000.
Navarro bought the 5th-floor condo at The Broadway Hollywood in 2007 for $1.04 million, according to property records, a year after he split from third wife Carmen Electra. (Records show the 2007 buyer as Navarro’s Spread Entertainment Trust.) The rocker lived in the loft until he recently purchased a home in Hancock Park. “He’s selling it for a change,” says Skyler Hynes, the Coldwell Banker Previews International agent with the listing.

The condo boasts 15-foot ceilings plus views of both the Capitol Records tower and the Hollywood sign. It’s an open floor plan, with the kitchen and living spaces connected. The bedroom, too, is connected to the overall space, sectioned off with sheer curtains.
Although the space is relatively small, there are plenty of rockstar-esque details. Navarro had the bed–a white, vinyl-upholstered platform–designed specifically for him by Heidi Toll, and it will stay in place if the buyer wants it, Hynes notes. The entryway features crushed vinyl wallpaper. And the bathroom, done in vivid red and black tiles, boasts a custom mirror.
The 10-story Broadway Hollywood tower, built in 1928, is listed on both the California and National Historical registers, which means its buyer will enjoy a tax break of about 40%, Hynes says. The building was originally offices for the Broadway department store, later converted to condos. It lies across the street from the W Hotel and the Pantages Theater, and above the sushi restaurant Katsuya. The common spaces of the building have been updated and a rooftop pool with cabanas and a fireplace added; the building has a full-service doorman and 24-hour valet.
“I think that it has the makings for a space that anyone can enjoy. But it does have a little bit of a masculine edge to it.” says Hynes. “It’s contemporary, and it does have a glammy, sleek feeling.”
The condo is priced quite a bit higher than a slightly smaller two-bedroom, two-bath condo in the same building, but one floor lower, currently listed at $745,000, according to Trulia TRLA -1.1%. The agent notes that Navarro put $125,000 of renovations into his place, and that the view is better than the other unit for sale.
