why not... if the short tour takes place in Europe!bman wrote:no new album..just a short janes tour with avery.

I'm interested in a Jane's or a Porno reunion but only if with the original line-up
I just believe JA and P4P are kind of trademarks that shouldn't be used when not conform to the original (I don't like virgin cola). Neither JA 01, 03 nor 97 was the real JA, as great as it was. The same with Porno, it may have accepted two bassists, LeNoble and Watt, but that's all. Perks and Pete must be in it.
A second SP album means nothing as SP is not a real band (has it be ?)
So Perry can give his next project the name he wants
So why not a Perks, Dave, Perry and somebody with no name ?
Whatever happens, my preference goes to perry's choice (I know I will follow anyway)

So Perry Farrell's Song Yet to Be Sung and Perry Farrell's Satellite Party is mostly a solo thing with a revolving door of musicians that back him up? Something to kill time in between Janes's Addiction reunions. I think its safe to say there will be another Jane's Addiction comeback. When the money starts getting low, thats where they'll be. You know it and I know it.

Voted Porno on this. I think they have the best chance of doing something fresh, funky, interesting, and becoming of who they are NOW. Only with Martyn, Watt, or Flea though. People with a spiritual and cultural connection to the whole deal.
Just get a real natural, relaxed, low-key, non-slick, groovy atmosphere going. Natural soul. No bells or whistles or superfluous bullshit. String some paper flowers and go out there and make some music. And make a fucking album that connects with unpretentious natural soul. Record it on an old tape recorder at the beach. Don't think about whether anyone will like it or not, or if it has commercial appeal to teenagers listening to rock radio. Fuck rock radio. Put the funk in there, the tropical tastiness in there, the jazziness in there, the soul in there, a little psychedelia in there, and lace it with a little punkiness to give it a spark. That's all you need.

PFP
Pete's loyalty, his love for PF, his devotion to his craft, his maturity, his positive perspective, the abcence of any whoring sensibilitites, the material ready to go, his easy going disposition are all perfectly suited for him to roll.
For him, the stars will always be alligned.
Problems elsewhere methinks.
