its never felt so good to be old

when I woke up at 630 this morning and clicked onto youtube and watched this video it just made me break down and cry.It was like reality setting in after hearing about janes getting back together for this award.
it seems like anytime you get shocking news it takes a few days for it to sink in and hit ya.
I, like probley everyone else is just dying to tell anyone u can about this news.I live in a small town and im sure theres not many janes fans around, but yesterday when i was at the gas station getting smokes and i had just smoked the other smoke so i seen a group of skater kids hanging outside the store having to go in one at a time so i thought ahhHA heres some people i can tell lol so i say lol "hey guys did ya hear about janes addiction getting back together"like the dork i am lol and one of them said i wasnt even born when janes addiction was around.

so it got me thinking on the way home how weird that is,i mean i still feel like im one of them in away (like 16)but sooo much older. almost 33..........wow :oldtimer: its just so weird,i was rockin out and they werent even alive
and for the most part i wish i was a teenager growing up in the 80-90's again because there was great music and passion back then.
so with Janes Addiction playing together at the nme's and thinking that some of janes fans have never seen them all on stage together because of their age so it makes me feel good to be old now because I/we experienced the magic of JANES ADDICTION and it is in our souls forever and we the old ones lol are lucky enough to have that magic and memorys and love and passion for music rekindled one more time and hopfully more to come.It keeps us young at heart and mind.so thank you to all the guys in Janes addiction, the nme's for bringing them together sooner than we expected and an extra thanks to eric for making this dream possible for us.
so Perry put on your fishnets, zone out on the days and do your thing and show us those sexy moves u do :kiss4p:
and Eric, just feel nothing but love and respect and get funky on that bass
Dave, get raw and dirty and let your hair swing around and play from your soul...just jam out as hard as you can on that guitar
and perk your just a bad ass drummer!!!!!!!!make your arms hurt on the first song

so for all who are my age im sure you all know what im trying to express cuz i suck at it and for all the young fans congrats your about to witness history and hear the best music of all times....this aint no bullshit fake music like bands today put out, this is real Rock'n'roll kids!!!!!!

I'm 34 and had the opportunity to see Janes in 91 on lolla 1. I then caught many p4p, janes 01-03 and SP shows..I'll be even more excited if I can them again in 08!

Yeah sometimes being old ain't such a bad thing!

I really think that anyone who didn't see them on or before 9/26/91 really missed out.

It was a time and place where all the pieces fit together perfectly.

Yeah but what I was really getting at was the folks that missed the original line-up.

I think it's cool that after all these years Jane's still attracts new fans too.
