Perry Farrell & Paramore Added To ‘Twilight’ Soundtrack

Slowly but surely we’re finding out which bands will be included in the soundtrack to the Twilight movie starring Kristen Stewart as Bella and Robert Pattinson as Edward.
Perry Farrell told NY Mag that he’s writing a “crucial song” for Twilight, tentatively titled “Going All The Way (Into the Twilight),” which will be a solo project for him. The former Jane’s Addiction frontman didn’t go into specifics on what the song would be about or who would be performing on it.

Hey Eric, I'm pretty sure it's a Satellite Party track.Eric B. wrote:So will that be Perry solo (aka no mare SP) or SP?
I'm not 100% certain though.
If it's the song I think it is they did it at the gig in South Carolina Friday

Etty has a sweet sweet voice and I like to see she's really singing in their new songs.
Female voices are sexy, and macho Patriarchy of Rock is so unnatural.
With Etty onstage gender equality has become more institutionalized.

Exclusive: Perry Farrell to Write Song for the ‘Twilight’ Movie, Possibly Reunite Jane’s Addiction
9/19/08 at 3:44
What's Perry Farrell up to these days? We're glad you asked! When he turned up at Fashion Week last week and performed with Dave Navarro at the Rose Bar, and again at a John Varvatos party, he set off rumors that Jane's Addiction might get back together. And they might! After the band's original lineup played a set at the NME awards in April, he told reporters a reunion was as likely as "there being commercial space flights." But last week he told us, "The trick is, I believe in commercial space flights. It could happen. Sure, why not? I've been working with [bassist Eric Avery] for seventeen years. That trumps everything."
In the meantime, though, Farrell has another huge gig coming up, and Vulture has the exclusive: He's writing a crucial song for Twilight, the movie adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's mega-selling young-adult vampire saga, due on November 21. The track is tentatively titled "Going All The Way (Into the Twilight)" and will be a Farrell solo venture produced by Atticus Ross and mixed by Alan Moulder. "I don't like to write albums anymore, because I have enough material in my life," Farrell told us. "I mean, I used to work on a record for, like, three and a half years and then people would only listen to or play two songs. I'd go, 'What happened to the other eleven songs?' So now I go, 'Here's one, here's one, here's one,' and they love them all."

Just like with the commercial flights ?..."I don't like to write albums anymore, because I have enough material in my life," Farrell told us. I would prefer a full album, Perry, and I promise I won't listen to only one or two songs.

Quote:
Mike: Other than those two songs Nasty Little Perv and Love Feedback. Can you tell me any other song titles?
Etty: We did another one called The Underground. O gosh… we don’t really go by song titles I just know them by sound. There’s The Underground and there’s the other one um… There’s actually one that we… it’s one that our manager has a hold of and it’s now being considered for a commercial. So it’s a pretty good song. Somebody liked it right away. Somebody picked it up right away and it wasn’t even finished. At this particular moment I cannot remember the damn name of that song.
Mike: That’s OK.
Etty: All The Way. The name of the song is All The Way.
Mike: That’s four new songs then. I figure an album is eight to ten tracks. How far along are you guys to having a complete albums worth of material?
Etty: Right now we have five songs but honestly… I don’t think nowadays the music industry… I don’t think the formats of albums are going to sell nor is it going to work. So I think that when these songs are ready um… we’re writing them. We’re probably going digitally finish it up and whatnot. I think when everything is up and ready and we’re running we’ll probably release a single at a time.
