Jane's Tour 2009

Post by SuicideNote »

Just found this online. I believe that Pulse of Radio is a fairly credible source. Can't wait. I'm sure if it is true, we'll be hearing a lot more about this shortly.

JANE'S ADDICTION Tour In The Works? - Jan. 7, 2009

The Pulse of Radio reports that a full-blown JANE'S ADDICTION reunion tour — the third in just over a decade — is in the works for later this year, according to HardDrive Radio. There's no word yet on who will be in the band lineup or when exactly the trek will start, but the news follows on the heels of two low-key club gigs the group did in Los Angeles this past October and November. Those were the original band's first full concerts together in well over 15 years. The group, including founding bassist Eric Avery, first reunited for a four-song set at the NME Awards USA last April.

The band has reunited twice before, in 1997 and 2001, but without Avery. RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS bassist Flea, Chris Chaney and Martyn LeNoble all took turns in the lineup.

Singer Perry Farrell has dismissed the possibility of another comeback over the last couple of years, saying in a recent interview that there was as much likelihood of a full-blown reunion "as there being commercial space flights."

Can't wait for the Coachella announcement. Debating over buying tickets before the announcement. Saw what looked to be a credible lineup posted online and it showed Jane's headlining Sat night.

both?

They could easily do both, hit the big festivals (lolla & coachella) and do an extended small club tour.

There is advantages to both types of shows. I love the big shows with full stage performance with dancers and everything, but something to be said about the intimacy of a small club. I've been to both, but nothing ever as small as the last two shows, wish I could have gone to them.

Indeed. I can see that giant festivals may be fun for some, and fun for the band (and maybe more profitable), but my interests run towards theatre or club shows, especially if the venues are located in major cities. I think that would be great.

same here, I'd love to go 'show to show' a few times... not festival to festival.
