Maybe those who haven't like what he's been wearing could explain a little more clearly/concisely?

Each guy's look has evolved over time, changed, evolved, etc. Even during their heyday their look changed. Perry circa 1986 looked pretty different than Perry circa 1991. Perry wasn't out to shock people, he was expressing himself. The shock was a byproduct, not the goal - and he was okay with that.

Well he was wearing a John Varvatos t-shirt at a party for John Varvatos. Seems pretty logical to me. Though i wonder if the message was a reference to 9/11, given Perry's anti-war stance? Hmmm...
