1/26/87 Soundboard
I have to double check, but I got this random Jane's tape and it sounds like the 1/26/87 Roxy show. Soundboard though. It's three/four songs I think. Suffersome/Pigs 1% mabe.... Sounds a bit shitty actually, but a soundboard. I got to dig for it. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I haven't dug for it yet...but I think your right. Ruff XXX outtakes from "the" 1/26/87 show. The only reason I know this is because the Suffersome then into Pigs is identicle to the 1/26/87 show.intertwoven wrote:"XXX Outtakes" i think..? sounds like something I may have on a random tape as well.

So my real dusty tape says XXX Outtakes:
Oceansize
Suffer Some
Pigs
1%
I Would (one chord but then cuts)
It's for sure 1/26/87. So where is the rest of this??

Re: 1/26/87 Soundboard
funny enough, i just transferred this from tape too. i don't have more than you, but it was filler on a "XXX early mix" (aka Pre-mix).. which is kinda interesting. I need to do a better side-by-side-by-side listen to the raw live version, the early mix, and the final album mix and try to spot the differences.Charles wrote:So my real dusty tape says XXX Outtakes:

It's funny how there are so many different versions floating around of the 1/26/87 show. and yet none are complete. we should try to compile a best/most-complete version of all the tracks from this show. I know there's an audience video of the full electric set.. so that could be used to harvest audio for some tracks, then throw in the few sbd "outtakes" and the acoustic set. i know "had a dad" is sometimes included in uploads of the acoustic set (though Had isn't acoustic), but i can't recall offhand if it's sbd or aud.

I can't agree with you more. Sooo many versions of the XXX show. Acoustic, overdubs, electric, pre-over dubs, raw outtakes...making me dizzy last night.intertwoven wrote:funny enough, i just transferred this from tape too. i don't have more than you, but it was filler on a "XXX early mix" (aka Pre-mix).. which is kinda interesting. Re: 1/26/87 Soundboard
I have one version labeled Acoustic Set and another labeled Electric Set, Sonny sent them to me so maybe he can help.

Re: 1/26/87 Soundboard
I know we've been talking about the setlist for this show in a couple of different threads but I figured this would be the best place to ask the following question.
Is this the correct setlist for this show?
Acoustic Set:
Slow Divers
My Time
Rock 'N Roll
Sympathy
Jane Says
Kettle Whistle
Chip Away
Electric Set:
Trip Away
Whores
Ocean Size
Suffer Some
Pigs in Zen
1%
I Would For You
Thank You Boys
Three Days
Idiots Rule
Had A Dad
Up The Beach
Mountain Song
Stop!
Summertime Rolls

Re: 1/26/87 Soundboard
You have the setlists correct Mike. I've got the complete Acoustic set Soundboard but I cannot find any of the Electric set soundboard anywhere, I know Sonny had it up and there was a discussion about it, wasn't complete but I cannot find it for the life of me. As far as Slow Divers not being a part of the Continental Club, I disagree with that, I think you have that listed on one show link on this very site, I forget but somebody put Slow Divers as being from the Pyramid 11/13/86 show and it is not, I listened to them both and they don't sound the same to me.Handsome Mike wrote:I know we've been talking about the setlist for this show in a couple of different threads but I figured this would be the best place to ask the following question.

Re: 1/26/87 Soundboard
From what I recall, there is no FULL Soundboard of the 1/26/87 Roxy show. Theres just the XXX outakes which is just three songs (Suffer, Pigs 1%) from the soundboard, and the pre-overdubs. The pre-overdubs I think is more complete version of there electric set, but as far as soundboard, is does not sound that good at all.filthpurveyer wrote:You have the setlists correct Mike. The Slow Divers from the Pyramid 11/13/86 show is different than the Slow Divers at the Roxy on 1/26/87. One being a "Joint" to sell me and the other being "Some Dope" to sell me in the lyrics, as Gavin mentioned in another thread...
Please correct me if I'm wrong.... Gavin, Shawn? Watta u think?
