Stephen Perkins w/ Hollywood Rock Academy THIS Sunday 6-8-08

One of my oldest and dearest friends is the President of the Hollywood Rock Academy...(I've known him since I was 7~ we grew up together in small town, Massachusetts!!). This Sunday, June 8, is the 2008 graduation concert. Stephen Perkins will be joining the kids to play 2 Jane's Addiction songs. He will also be receiving the Rock Angel award for his drum circle program helping the lives of children with autism and Ausberger's Syndrome.

Tickets are only $10. The show is at the Derby...4500 Los Feliz Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. Doors are @ 1:30PM, show starts at 2PM.

I caught a sneak peek at the HRA studio last night (sans Stephen) and I was very impressed. These kids are super talented. Although they will play some covers at the graduation, all of the kids are in their own bands, writing their own music. HRA is as much a school of self expression as it is about music. Really cool stuff!
