Interesting. It seems Jimmy is confused on more than one level. For one thing he thinks that I want Perry to fail (?!), which means he has absolutely no clue who I am, so how can I take his insult personally? I can't and I don't.
As for the recording, I don't know how much clearer I could have been when I called various parts pretty good, nice, neat, and overall nice. Maybe he expected everyone to call it "absolutely perfect," "utter genius," and so on. I'm not really sure how he took "without all of the magic," but it meant that the vocal was good, but it didn't have every last bit of the magic of vintage Perry. I don't think that's an insult, but people are strange. Very strange.
Maybe he really thinks that his vocal is on the same level as Perry's classic versions. Go figure.

Saying its without any of the magic in English is insulting.Jasper wrote:Interesting. It seems Jimmy is confused on more than one level. In my second post I said "ok, without any of the magic" in response to your bizarre outburst about what I'd actually said in my first post. My second post amounts to a written shrug, along the lines of "Oh, you don't like what I wrote? Well, ok, maybe this is what you want me to say...who knows?"jimmydeviljames wrote:Saying its without any of the magic in English is insulting.

Bottom line is I complimented you, but now I regret doing it. I regret taking the time to listen to your recording and writing a polite and honest response. After this strange reaction I certainly don't plan to listen to or comment on any more of your recordings.
