it was mentioned beforehand that they were going to honor Avery as well as Flea, Martyn & Chaney

they've never tried to erase Avery from their history, it's just that Perry & Eric cannot seem to work together anymore

I think Perry has already given a lot to RATM. He was a big champion of them before anyone gave a shit, getting them lots of billing spots and attention.
