If so he's still involved in that based on his twitter posts and in addition has recently finished his second solo album.
He's definitely got a lot on his plate these days.

I thought this was a sure thing when I read helicine's post on page one of this thread but I guess it wasn't so sure.

Eric tweeted the following earlier this evening.

because inquiring minds want to know. i will indeed be assisting my friends in garbage by playing bass for them on tour this year.

I think it was a "done deal", EA just hadn't tweeted about it

Garbage is scheduled to be on Fallon tonight (well, early tomorrow morning): 5/18/12. Not sure if EA will be playing, but I assume so.
